i dont think hes sick but the man has 90+ pro fights and from middle to HW almost 30 years..it has caught up to him in some ways

I’m pretty sure Toney has brain damage to some extent. He boxed nearly 700 rounds in pro fights and was known to just spar and spar and spar and go light on the roadwork.

As you say, that 'i only spar, i don't train' method will catch up with anyone if you do it for decades.

Terry Norris is another case, he was known to go all out in sparring, often with his brother Orlin. Terry also had about 300 amateur fights.
His speech is worse than Toney's, but he is physically in shape and mentally coherent. It's just hard to hear his words.
