Jamaicans And Their Cars... Question

I have nothing but love for these brothas and sistas but...

Why is it that a Jamaican will cop a old ass BMW or Benz that's broke down as shyt and expensive to work on instead of just buying a newer car that is cheaper and easy to work on. A co worker did this, I think his BMW is a 93 and his only answer was, "It's a BMW, mi yout."

But on the real.. we cop these old BMW because these were the cars the rich drove in Jamaica when we were yutes. We come to the USA and start making more money than we could in Jamaica so when we see that old car we buy it and feel gratification that we are now equal to the richman.

If u can keep up with maintenance, why not? Lot of those old Bimmers/Benzes are pretty reliable and those dudes are often mechanics or know mechanics.

Plus they look good. I would rock w/an old Bimmer no problem
