I would still take his career over 95% of the centers that ever played, but he didn't always finish his breakfast

yeah, the conditioning is the biggest thing

and his prime years coincided with the the beginning of the dead center era. Instead of absolutely dominating, he got flabby and sick.

Still one of the best to ever play, but I do understand the feeling that he didnt become the player he could have been.

Why does Sam Mitchell keep getting mentions from him ? Of all the players past and present to talk about during his career,a relatively unknown coach whom he played with for 2 seasons keeps coming up ?

Mitchell probably scrapped with Rose. It's already confirmed he fought Alston and VC as Raptors coach . Dude's post game conferences were always comedy, he definitely needs a head coaching job again.

Shaq could have been the GOAT if he had the work ethic of Kobe or someone similar. He was good enough to get by with doing the minimum and while it's disappointing, I kind of understand why. But he and Lebron might be the 2 most special human specimens I've ever seeen

He was just having fun out there and was able to perform at a very high level for a long time doing the minimum and a lot of athletes are like that.

The average Joe doesn't work hard to improve on any aspect in his/her life so I can't be to mad at him. Being a pro athlete is just a job to a lot of these guys, no more no less.
