The unknown
Coen interviewed and the Jags thought they had their new coach
He turned down the job to stay OC
Jags finally realized nobody wanted to work with Baalke and fired him
They reached back out to Coen
Coen stopped returning the Bucs calls

What a couple of days :mjlol:

As a Jags fan I'm happy though

Listen I'm all about using a job as leverage. People do it in corporate America all the time. I even understand not returning calls because you need to think this decision over without everyone in your ear. But to sit here and lie about taking your kids to the doctor is just wild

This is the NFL, so not really a fair comparison to the real world as they operate under obvious different circumstances.

Teams won't forget these types of things if he fails with the Jags.

He might as well told them he was going to Jacksonville. If he visited once he knew what was going to be said the 2nd time. Now he just looks like an a$$hole and it really wasn't needed

Man stop. Josh McDaniels failed as HC in Denver, screwed the Colts after telling them he was going to be their HC, got to stay in NE, and then got another HC job with Vegas. Failed in Vegas, is back in NE.

Coen will be A OK if he fails in Jacksonville lmao

True, nobody is expected to be a success in Jacksonville. He will be fine if it fails.
