He sounds derivative for sure, but I think that's okay. Everybody doesn't necessarily have to be unique or change the landscape. It just puts a ceiling on your potential creatively. But a lot of guys who sound like other people have had good careers.

But he has good rhyme structure, good pocket and he didn't let the beat overwhelm him. Things that are very common for newer artists.
