One of my boys sent me this trailer earlier.

I dunno about this. There's some cool shots but the director is relatively unknown. The writer wrote "The Midnight Meat Train" which was a pretty good adaptation of the Clive Barker short story.

Kinda on the fence for this.

The original is a great fukking movie, criminally underrated.

I dunno, this doesn't look outright terrible, but it also looks like it has enough different elements from the original that they didn't really need to call it Jacob's Ladder. It's like they are slapping the Jacob's Ladder title on it just cuz they think it might make people go "Oh, Jacob's Ladder, that's a thing, right?" even though the original wasn't even that big of a hit.

I've been trying to figure out my "rules" for remakes. I think it should be a movie that was either slept on, special effects have progressed enough to do what they wanted in the original but couldn't, or a movie that had goat potential but was flawed. Jacob's Ladder meets #1, but still not crazy about this.

some days I’m going thru my routines and just out of nowhere think yo am I dead and living in my subconscious...nothing bad or creepy triggers it but it’s like how would I know??

Original is a classic, I've got high hopes for this bc some recent remakes/reboots have been solid to straight up good.

Movies and tv shows
Let us know.
I had to stop half way through :francis: but imma start over when I get off work tonight. It’s really good, a movie about the psyche and the effects of chemical warfare. It makes me think about other movies about Vietnam... I haven’t seen any that touched on that in particular. So for the late 80s early 90s effects, it’s decent. The movie is excellent so far.
