Jackie Chan's last HK films in 5 years haven't been great or good. They were there to entertain the masses with goofy slapstick comedy and corny over the top antics that are for those who don't take Chan films seriously. After seeing "The Foreigner" film, I thought maybe Chan wanted to bring that back to HK to drop a another banger for us. In the first 15 minutes of "Bleeding Steel" we get an epic no holds barred extravaganza. I mean it's ....:whoo:. I was glued to the seat wanting to see more. It's only after that scene and another one is when the film totally takes a nose dive to shytsville with the same goofy, corny antics from 1995. The film wanted to be so many things( action, scifi, thriller, comedy, spoof) and not what the first part of the film was. It wasn't so much of Chan's part but the way it was written and how the director visioned the movie to be after Part 1. I hope Chan can give up these antics for a serious role again like "Shaolin" "1911" P.S.2013" which he is appreciated more for.

If you ever see this film just watch the first 15 mins of this film, scrap the rest.

None of his films are made for us or even for the HK audience. They're made for the mainland Chinese audience, and that's why his films look so corny and cheesy

The Foreigner was good though
