this man is 56 yrs old..

he looking fresh !

Great episode. First time hearing JPrince speak in an interview over long period of time.

Quick correction. NORE seems like a cool guy but he doesn't know enough old hip hop history when he says certain things that is wrong. then again he was running the streets back on the days.

When he said something about j prince first black label and JPrince mentioned DeJam Russel Simmons only had production deal and alluded that it was only major labels in new york. Russel co own def jam and Rick Rubin with def jam management and def comedy etc..

The first ever hip hop label was Sugar Hill Records a black owned label by Sylvia Robinson, that released Rappers Delight ,Kurtis blow ,grandmaster flash etc... 1979 . Rappers Delight was the first hip hop songs that cross over . Sugar Hill Records made the second rap album on history. The first rap record wasn't from a rap label but also came out 1979/78

You had Cold Chillin Records that had the Juice Crew movement including big daddy kane ,Kool G Rap,
and many other indie labels but I understand the "movement" for south being indie likey 2Live Crew.

nore is a shyt interviewer when it comes to addressing a point, having knowledge & allowing the guest to speak and explain things on certain topics. You would have thought they would get a more flexible knowledge guy as a side kick but dj efn is trash too..

Am I the only one who thinks J Prince extorted Screw and this is a way to deflect blame it on the dead guy you used to send to collect:ohhh:
Nahh that money wouldn't have been worth it for J, he was releasing gold and platinum albums during that time. A few thousand from Screw wasn't shyt to him in my opinion

wouldn't suprise me. prince is a dirt bag
Prince low key was throwing shots at folks left and right in the interview. I think he said JayZ is a scout and he is a general at the table discussion the deal with that female rapper. He said Russel "only" had a production deal not true overall.the irony is that J Prince said Lyor Cohen taught him some game about the music business.

Since jay is cool with both Puff and Suge wish they asked how he met them or did they do business together etc ..

I thought they was going to ask him about the Big Mike beef or ghetto boys internal beef..... guys internal issue or BushWick Bill being a snitch and leaving Brooklyn to live in Texas.

Then again Prince wouldn't have answer the questions directly or say it was water under the bridge or it's not about him . No hate I can respect it but still.....glad that gave that chick some shine .I was aware of her back in the days.

Side note: wish the Suge ,Prince and Irv Gotti to see how it would've unfolded.

Wasn't Sugar Hill secretly owned by the mob
