Yeah, idk what it is about people from that blog rap era who made better mixtapes than they did albums. KRIT was a great example of that, that first album was aight but such a let down from those classic tapes he put out prior.
But yeah, TWU, TCU, and FNL are still J Cole’s holy grail of projects. He ain’t never come close to that again imo.
Anyone with industry sense care to educate me? How do artists be able to put their mixtapes over other ppl instrumentals on DSPs after so long? Like there’s a Kanye beat on here and I know they don’t like each other.. I guess…. But Kanye would have to clear it right and I know these old mixtapes can’t be generating revenue unless you’re Travis Scott recently
Overtime is there like a loophole where you can just upload it as is cuz clearly these are just the original mp3s from back in the day.. DJ drops, quality and all
