I've never watched a Blu Ray movie and I've had the PS4 for years. Somebody told me the quality is way better than streaming because streaming is compressed. Got me an LG CX, so I'm trying to take full advantage.

I'm thinking Blade Runner 2049 on Blu Ray for my first go to. Any other movies I should look into? Also would downloading the movies on PS5 have the same quality as CDs?

Better contrast, colours and sound. It also depends on how the film was mastered. It's not so simple to explain. You'll have to look at codecs, formats HDR, HDR 10/+, Dolby Vision all sorts.

Simplest way to say it is in terms of quality physical media greater than streaming. 4k Blu Ray discs are generally better.

Nah, just cop a Blu Ray (I just copped a few inc Juice, Menace II Society on Blu Ray) and enjoy - you should be able to find them for a reasonable price.
