I have vivid memories of the first time I heard Protect Ya Neck on the radio at night on Hot 97. After hearing it once, I listened to the Funk Flex for days to tape it the next time I heard it but had no idea who these cats were. My favorite verse was ODBs (First things first...)

Then a few weeks later, I remember sitting at the food court in Newport Mall in Jersey City and this crew was walking around with this big boombox :dwillhuh: (remember them days :salute: and :snoop: simultaneously) blasting M-E-T-H-O-D Man. I wasn't feeling it initially, but of course it grew on me. After that song blew up it was over.

C.R.E.A.M. dropped on late night radio and people went bananas :ooh:

Once when cats copped the album, I remember hearing "Wu Tang Clan Ain't Nothing to Fukk With!!" on repeat in cars and at friend's cribs for days.

Man, that was 20 years ago. :sadbron: Getting :old: for real.

Its crazy b/c I remember when they both dropped and trying to decide which to buy. I ended up getting both. 36 Chambers when it dropped and waited a week to get MM.
