Not just bc he won the battle. Not just bc of Not Like Us. But now with Squabble Up blowing, and all these west cost high energy aggressive tracks, Kendrick is now changing the DNA, he’s dictating the vibe people like and respond to.

Drake’s already softer content is going to seem even softer. And he can’t make hard shyt bc Kendrick already 8 Mile’d him ‘I like Drake with the melodies’. And slammed the door on that with a energy Drake can’t replicate, a gang infested crip walk heavy Mc Eight Mac 10 ass album :bryan: :banderas:

This is 50 making Wanksta, What Up Gnagsta, etc and instantly making it impossible for Ja rule to come with a Where would I be without you. :beli:Even when Ja made good music (blood in my eye had some shyt), people rejected it.

Drake’s tours will still sell, people will still stream his old shyt. Good for him, U2 still tours too. But his new music will not hit. If he’s lucky he will get a ‘I’m from NY’ ——which people fukked with as a song then went right back to ignoring Ja Rule. He put up a good fight but….

It’s over. Drake is officially a legacy act. Mans had a good run

I doubt that.

Drake is a pop star with a majority pop fanbase. They don’t give a damn about a rap beef all they care about is the music. As long as he keeps putting out the music they like his career will be fine.

This is the only thing keeping Drake from being fully Ja Rule'd. He arguably has a deeper catalog than Ja and a run that was about 3x longer. He goes back to singing and dancing, he'll have a lane.

Yea like he’s not gonna starve but new music ain’t gona be it. Time to break out the fedora and bow tie

Mmmmmm nah

50 came at the right time, there was a genuine disgust for ja rule amongst nikkaz who wanted bars

That didn’t exist for Drake - which is why his lame retarded fans can’t accept the L

Drake will be ok - he just needs a good album , which he hasn’t had in a long time in my opinion

:ehh:
Thought it has long since been over

I think Kendrick’s follow up was important. He got ‘crowned’ but we had to see him wield his sword so to speak. See how sharp it was. Well he did and mfers fell in line :russ: Deja vu to 50. ‘I coulda dropped a blank CD at that time’. That’s where Kendrick at it’s over

Drake’s reign at the top is definitely over. People saying that all Drake needs is a song let me tell you all the tracks he dropped on a 100 gigs would have been hits two summers ago. They are good tracks too but nobody gives a fukk. It’s clear Kendrick is that guy now. If I was him I wouldn’t even drop the PND collab right now not while Kendrick hot right now. Let that nikka go back into hiding and try this again. In the meantime Drake and 40 need to lock in and comeback in the summer. Drake gotta disappear for a bit to build momentum again.

But I know his deal won’t allow him to do that.
