in the New York Undercover thread in the booth there's a great discussion on the show for the hip hop influences and how it played key to the series making it more than just an average cop drama.

You know I saw an episode or two of Miami Vice and was very intrigued. I would love to watch the series, but he channel it came on idk what it was... maybe it's in Netflix or I can pull it up on the Fire stick. Either way, it was better than the movie.

As stated above, the few episodes really drew me in for wanting more. Compared to the movie which I have yet to finish (:manny: I couldn't get into it)

Are there any movies you think that's based off a series (tv show), book, cartoon, etc... that had a really bad outcome on the big screen? What the opposite (ex. Rush Hour:the tv show or Friday: the cartoon) ?

Lots for the opposite...Rambo, Karate Kid, Robocop cartoons were ass and should've stayed movies not crappy watered down toons

Friday the 13th the series, since it had zero to do w/ the movies and was a poor man's Twilight Zone/Tales from the Crypt..

Freddy's Nightmares was alright and at least had Fred Krueger in it.

GI Joe the live action movies are ass, TF is debatable

@MartyMcFly has me wanting to get into the Scream series but... I simply can't. I watch the first Scream at least once a month. If they take it off On Demand/Netflix I'm gonna seriously be :sadcam:
And what's the coli's thoughts on Lethal Weapon? I'm not even going into the thread...

Scream is good. Lethal weapon is surprisingly good too. The two leads have great chemistry and that's what makes the show. Plus as I said in that thread, I only feel like the lethal weapon series has two really good movies. The other two are either just okay or meh beyond belief. Minus jet li.

And the scream series is a lot better than scream 3.

Scream the series is alright. First season was cool, was very similar to the first film, mostly...second season is :ld:, a little more convoluted but still makes some sense for the most part (I guess like Scream 2). The recent stand alone Halloween episode was cool as a contained story...but it's also a lead into Season 3 and...really :patrice: bout this third....hoping they don't pull some cop out bullshyt out they ass like they did w/ Scream 3.

To be fair..... that cartoon wasn't all that great same with transformers.
Transformers was better when it was 1 continuous story like season 1. the rest of them Eason was a struggle
