Really unbelievable when you think about it...considering what this franchise has been through over the last 15 years.

I know they haven't been to a conf. final yet, and they lost to a bullshyt Clippers team in the first round last year...but it really looks like they've finally put it together.

- They have the experience together, and will remain together for another couple of years (although Tony Allen's contract expires)

- New & young ownership, solid front office, coaching and young veterans with good experience together

- With their perimeter D, inside scoring & what seems to be the maturation of Rudy Gay & Mike Conley...i don't see why they can't beat MIA & OKC in a series (barring injury, of course)

It's gonna be sad at the same time too that this franchise will win a title before so many others that have been trying & failing since the Grizz's inception. I wouldn't mind though.

Now who else wanna fukk with Hollywood Court?
I think they have the talent to do it, they've got 3 all-star caliber players and a solid bench plus great balance offensively.

The only issue is can Rudy Gay be the man, he needs to be that dude going toe to toe with Durant/Bron in the playoffs in close games. He has to be more than just a 20ppg scorer if they want to win the title, he's gonna have to take over games for them to really have a shot.

I think they will get out of the West, can they beat MIA in 7 games? I don't know but I do know they have the talent to matchup with MIA and they have bigs that can score on MIA's bigs... plus the Grizzlies can play small ball as well. Great perimeter defenders on the roster.

The Grizzlies have couple issues

1. Can you trust Rudy Gay? I can't trust that nikka with his shot jacking and his refusal to attack the basket and get to the line.

2. Their 3 point shooting needs improvement, I think they should maybe try to find a knockdown shooter somewhere during the season. Ellington has been starting off hot though.

3. Will Lionel Hollins play inside-out?

With that said, they are better than LAL, SAS, and I think they can beat OKC. The Clippers are in their heads and they need to get that corrected.

As a Laker fan, that squad scares me the most once its playoff time. OKC and other teams from the West will give us a problem, but Rudy, Z-Bo, & Marc would completely destroy out front court, and Tony Allen guards Kobe the best out of everyone. And Z-Bo is looking just like 2011 Z-Bo in the playoffs. And we traded the wrong Gasol brother too :sadcam: But, :whoa: at them going to the finals and winning it already. Unless your trying to curse them? :rudy:

No bonifide superstar = no rings

how many teams in nba history won a title without a bonifide superstar

04 pistons and that's about it. You can argue 78 wizards or 79 sonics.

You need that "guy" who can just take over a game and will your team to victory. Their competition outwest has multiple players who can be that guy

Lakers - Kobe, Dwight, Pau, and Nash

OKC - KD, Westbrook

SPurs - Parker, Duncan, Manu

Clippers - CP3

They're definitely tough. I don't know if I trust them to step up and close 4th quarters in the playoffs though.

Miami dont want any parts of them in a 7 game series.

Our match ups against them are the worst against any team in the league... They honestly scare me the most....

We might need Stu and the Jew to make a call to Donaghy to even the playing field

They have the talent and depth defensively and offensively to do it, the do have shades of the 2004 Pistons team definitely, however I think if Gay just plays at his current level they'll be fine, I think Zbo needs to be aggressive though, as well as Marc. If they can play at elite status and get some good bench production I wouldn't be stunned if they went to the finals.

Their 3pt shooting has been streaky from what I've seen but generally that improves as the season progresses. As far as them being better than the Lakers Spurs and Thunder that's really as of Nov 29 2012, who's to say that any one of those teams wont go on a massive run and look much better as time goes on? I know the Lakers wont be terrible forever, and the Spurs are late bloomers. The Grizz are only arguably better than the Thunder at this point. They are definitely a wildcard team.
