Why do you need to develop critical thinking skills if everything is presented to you on a silver platter? With the emergence of AI people will become dumber than ever watch. The next generation won't even be able to do things we consider basic shyt without asking an AI.

Nah... I've always thought how our generation is the conduit between what was and what's since come to be. I know rotary phones, 8-tracks, UHF/VHF, etc... the same way I know smartphones, MP3s, VPNs, etc.

We're genuinely unique in that regard. The only generations that I think can relate are those when the propagation of electricity and the wheel took off.

I'm 39, never had social media, but just missed that window where it was normal in high school. No one even really texted in 2004. We had phones and there was a whole social norm of cell phone use, among teenagers, lying about where you were, ignoring calls, people not answering, that happened back then too -but no one texted, and no one took pictures.

it does make me feel weird. That's one of the signs of aging is feeling out of sync younger generations way of doing things.
