I remember reading that Flair was legit heated about it. I think he was crying in the back during the promo.
Vince Russo told this funny story about Goldberg refusing to lose Steiner or something...Goldberg said something like it wpuldnt be believable. Forgot how the dialogue went but Goldberg and those big dudes were really marks for size on guys.

Why would Flair want to be in a program with someone who shot at him in a promo. Flair was already one foot out of the door at that time and tried to get a release multiple times. This was just more unneeded and unprofessional bullshyt that he wanted to get away from. I say that as someone who likes Steiner, dude was a nutcase at that time.
