It’s 1990 would you say Arn Anderson was the GOAT ring worker?

I’d say so…either him or Bret Hart.

Flair, Windham, Steamboat and Mr. Perfect were up there too.

I think AA and Hitman were tier zero though.

I don't know about GOAT

But yea, that's a good top 6 for that time.

Arn is so underrated.

Did Arn and Bret ever have a singles match? Only time it could've happened was Arn and Tully's WWF run.

That shyt would've been :wow:

Great thread.

Arn has to be one of the most underrated wrestlers of all time. He doesn’t even get love when people talk about underrated wrestlers. Outside of his physique, he was the total package. He was a great talker, he could seamlessly transition from a tag team to singles worker, and he made everything he did seem real. Just pure class in the ring.

If they did, probably would have been in 89 since Brain Busters and Hart Foundation faced off against each other in that years Summerslam

Agreed. AA is so underrated, he could work, he could talk and was very believable in everything he did. It's such a shame that he had to retire when he still had a lot left in the tank.

As for the thread topic, He probably wasn't the best worker in '90 but he was in the conversation (Especially amongst those that worked with him). There was so much talent its hard to say who the best was.

No singles match unfortunately. The only times they were in the ring together IIRC was the big 10 on 10 tag match from Survivor Series '88 and the Hart Foundation vs Brain Busters non-title match from Summerslam '89. I don't believe he had a singles match with Tully either which is really a shame Bret vs either one of them would've been a classic.

Great thread.

In 90'? Nah Jumbo GOATruta was still on top. Dude was having 6 man tags better than any match ya favorite rassler ever had in that year alone. Arn was great but he's not GOAT material.

I always liked Arn Anderson. The way he did the DDT..The left hand punches he did..the sneaky tag team psychology..the spine buster. He did a ton of money promos during the non boom years too . Of course I loved the Brain Busters...them, LOD, the Steiner Brothers..Jumping Bomb Angels. Greatness.

The way he delivered the spinebuster looked devastating. :picard:

When I was a kid and still thought NWA wrestling was real I thought he almost killed dudes with it.

He was a slightly better ring technician than Flair imo. Flair was a better overall entertainer and put on better matches, no doubt.

But all AA’s moves were technically sound and he really looked like he was fukking his opponent up. He worked a lot like Bret Hart in that way imo.
