Me and my homies were predicting a heel turn for Cena during his match with the Rock.

They set the story up perfectly on the previous RAW shows, with Cena talking about he HAS to win Wrestlemania. They could have set it up with Cena doing whatever it takes to win. I was expecting a chair shot, or Cena locking on the STF and not releasing it even when the Rock held the ropes, etc. I could hear JR, "Cena has snapped!"

But, with the WWE trying to make the shows more family friendly they have to proctect the Cena brand. He is a favorite among kids, and if he were to turn into a bad guy, his merchadising sales would decrease.


His face character is getting a bit stale. They need to change it up. Maybe bring back Thugganimics Cena, with him dissing everybody. Could you imagine the Shield coming out and beating down the Rock, and Cena revealing he was behind them all along?

the problem is the Attitude Era came after Hogan so the general public knew no better before the 80's

WWE was so gully in the late 90's with unpredictability and unique storylines so people are pissed that they went back to being a kid friendly, casual tv program like in the 80's with babyface hogan

The thing that bugs me is WWE dont have faith in the characters they create so whats the point of making them if HHH, Lesnar, Rock, and Taker are going to take their spots anyway at Wrestlemania?

It's not their spots though. If they were overwhelmingly over, they would be undeniable. In 1999, the WWF tried to kind of push the Rock in a comedy tag team with Foley but he made that more MUST SEE than anything in WCW, ECW, or the WWF..highest ratings in Raw history. No one has that kind of special drive anymore..they're always looking for excuses. Ryder and Ziggler are bytching on Twitter HOPING somehow that leads to change for them. Poor delusional fools. They don't stand a chance.
