It's usually superior athletes with that ability though. They can explode so quickly that they don't need to get you off balance to get to their spots, they will drop you with 2 dribbles. Wade and Mike were so good at it because they would split the 2nd defender and finish acrobatically too.

When it comes to using it to get to jump shot spots, MJ is in a league of his own, Wade was nowhere near as good as that. Kobe and Tmac were definitely elite at this. AI also, he just missed a lot.

Pudgy/slow ballers can't get their shot off efficiently against NBA defenders. Chuck was known for backing brehs down until they were damn near UNDER the basket....he was a short PF, so he had no choice. If he could move like 'Nique or was taller like Hakeem, his approach would have been completely different.
