I didn't listen to the whole thing, but I get tired of people comparing Lara's and Canelo's performance against Angulo, while ignoring both fighters' performances against Trout. That's especially so as Lara clearly beat Trout, damn near clinical, while Canelo only pulled the win off with either that sole knockdown, or faulty judging.

Angulo was fukking shot when Canelo got to him, I can't really look at that fight. Trout was Canelo's 1st real step up fight, so it's hard to gauge things from that fight too. Lara was already a legit contender that fought experienced cats by the time he got a hold of Trout so that's a bad example as well. That's like penalizing Lara for not KO'ing Hernandez because Berto did that shyt in one round. Different stages of their careers folks.

I'm just analyzing styles on this one and I think Canelo takes it, but it will be close and competitive. Canelo will win off of his showy punches and combinations. Lara is pretty much a one two and move to the side or cover up kinda guy. Yeah he's good at it, but he doesn't let his hands go enough. Canelo has a better arsenal of punches and he actually moves his head too.. Lara's defense is pretty much a high guard an movement. He let guys like P.Will and Angulo win rounds just by getting off shots while he was in his shell. He can't have too many of those moments against Saul.

If Lara were to win, I'd think he'd have to land something real big early and hope to hurt dude and just apply pressure because the boxing aspect of this fight isn't as lop-sided as some will make it seem.

From a stylistic standpoint, I have to give the edge to Lara.

Canelo's weakness will always be slick boxers with good footwork. Lara has excellent footwork. Canelo tends to sit on his punches alot and has a hard time punching while moving. He has boxing skills so he'll always be able to outbox sluggers like Angulo pretty easily, but he'll always have trouble against boxers with good footwork that can throw while moving because he misses alot of punches and gets tired out. I think Lara definitely outboxes Canelo.

But with all the political bullshyt going on in boxing right now, I wouldn't be very surprised if Canelo walks out with a controversial W

Yeah, I have a feeling Canelo is going to win off of some bullsh!t too. He just might be Golden Boy's sole cash cow at this moment and they can't afford for him to lose to a Lara at this time. Lara is Cuban, right? So he's got some money and potential fame to be grasped, but that Mexican money is far longer than Cuban money in boxing. This ain't baseball. Canelo is arguably the biggest Mexican boxing star at this moment. After GB lost Floyd, lord only knows what else Haymon took that Schaefer didn't put up a fight over. The writing is on the wall, Lara cannot, must not win.
