What would the pros and cons be?

Now realize when I say world peace, I don't mean a utopia. There will still be class systems, murders, etc..

Obviously this wouldn't happen in our lifetimes or our children's children lifetime. But Imagine in lets say 2350 The World is filled with people who speak all speak a common language and share the same physical characteristics. Race has long ceased to be a concept. There is no they or us, just we. And people thought specially instead of culturally/racially.

I know religion would still be a source of conflict. But lets say in 2350 that we either (A) All worshiped the same God or (B) Religion was no longer a source of conflict.

Do you think we would be better off, or would the world be similar to the way it is now?

people will always find something to separate each other.ALWAYS.

TRUE. which Is why I said we will never have a utopia. BUT Religion and Race are two major factors in the issues affecting us today. Classism would be less of an issue, I'd imagine or would think so. If everyone was the same. The major problem would obviously be resources. If Canada(for example) had a large supply of resources would they be willing to share with a country that wasn't as lucky? People tend to help people who look more like themselves then not.

Of course its levels to that shyt. but...you don't think it would help at ALL.

I think you're underestimating people's ability to discriminate, even within homogenous societies.

Homogenous cultures sometimes cultivate social norms that may or not be beneficial to society as a whole.

I stated in the OP that discrimination would not end. People can ALWAYS find something to discriminate against each other about/with. Lets take The Rwandan civil war for example. Do you think an incident as such would have happened without it being brought to a swift end by outside forces, If the ENTIRE world Was African?(As an example)

they'll never be peace because there will always be conflicts over resources, you give race too much importance, its all about the money

To be honest I said that resources would be a huge deal. But sharing said resources are a lot easier if we are the same ethnicity. Although you may very well be correct in your assessment of human behavior.

Too many hypotheticals to consider before I could even make guess, but to go out on a limb, I'd say any mass conflict or tradegy would eventually be addressed by a global committee, homogenous or not.

It's hard to even envision a completely homogenous global community, it would be completely homogenous in the way you're proposing, it would only take a couple hundred years to see variations in cultures and what eventually what we view as "race"

I think the main issue lies with those who have and those who have not.

Ppl on a more leveled playing ground are usually better like Sweden, Finland, Singapore, Australia. Vs some places in the states like Mississippi or Chicago where there's a huge divide

No. Even then, there will still be divisions...but that mainly has to do with the status quo making plausible attempts at maintaining power over others by any means.

And the whole idea of a homogenous/homogenized world is boring, sad, and frankly dangerous in my opinion.

Exactly. Control and distribution of wealth and resources trumps all.

How can you have peace when 98% of the world's wealth is controlled by less than 2% of the population?
