Is Videotapping the Police doing wrong even helping the cause?

I've been thinking this for awhile. With all the video-tapping of police killing, beating people and doing unlawful acts to civilians...has it done any good? Has it even brought international attention to a growing problem? Has it brought justice to the victims of these crimes by the police? Im thinking it's not to point this out as injustice but it seems nothing has changed....there are continuous police wrongdoing happening more and more.

Eh, it helps on a case-by-case basis but it's not gonna stop police bullying.

all of their actions must be accuratly documented and recorded seeing that they are sworn officers who pledged to uphold said laws they are allegedly enforcing

It's probably prevented a lot of violence. When cops know they are being video taped they are less likely to go rodney king. :drunksaiger:

Also I personally know a few people who have gotten cash settlements out of video taped police abuses.

Overall I feel it's one of the strongest weapons we have against the police.
