I think her East Coast attitude assessment is mostly based on NY because DMV folks are more passive aggressive than aggressive-aggressive in the way they carry themselves. Baltimore people are actually both friendly and kind, but the worst Baltimore folks are ignorant as fukk and mean. Ditto with Philly.
Her assessment of the West might be right. Because property crime is outta control in the Bay. People bipping cars in broad daylight, stealing packages off porches and nobody giving a shyt. Or all of the aggressive street shyt that happens in L.A. like people getting robbed in fukking Beverly Center in front of hella people and people just watching and not intervening.

these sayings are far from true and corny...i remember getting a flat tire on a bridge, while it was raining out here (bay area) when i was like 22/23, i had AAA and was waiting on them but this white guy in his ~50's pulls over to change it saying he wouldn't want his daughter (who was about my age) stranded on the bridge...people FROM the west coast are nice and kind...this saying tends to circulate around those who are transplants and socialize in the transplant circles, where people are prone to being nice on the surface as that's what's expected in this area, but they're also truly selfish - came here to make $ and not GAF about anything else

Depends from person-to-person honestly. There's really no general behavior. In fact if anything, I'd say people in LA are not like that.
I've had complete strangers of all kinds go above and beyond more than they had to for me in LA. My older car once broke down in the middle of an intersection and some guy with his family jumped out his SUV, helped push my car to safety then gave me a jump start. Shoutout to William from Orange County.

We mostly deal with the cold we may act cold at first until you get to know us. Then we open up.
