WCW did a good job building matches up but the payoffs were always awful. Which is one of the main reason they went out of business. LOL at the crowds reaction nobody had a clue what the fukk was going on.
Also Savage joining the nwo here was dumb. The weeks leading up to this it looked like him sting and ddp were forming some sort of dark army to faceoff against the nwo then out of the blue Savage joins Hogan. It was probably Hogan's idea because anytime Savage was getting a push Hogan would kill it out of jealousy.
