i got my iphone which i use all the time and i got my PC which i use less and less because its been crashing and burning alot on me and im getting rid of it. plus its big and not portable.

im moving to a new place in 3 weeks and am trashing my PC but i dont wanna have only my iphone for internet.

im going to be getting a laptop. im thinking about getting the cheapest laptop they have at Best Buy because all i use the computer for is internet and listening to music and stashing some pics from my digital camera. nothing else.

im literally the most boring computer user and dont need all the flashy things the big money laptops offer. will i be ok with a cheap ass laptop to fulfill my needs i mentioned earlier? what would you do?

if thats the case and you really don't require the use of a computer for work, school, media, then go your way and get a cheap laptop. make sure you get a good deal though, just because its cheat doesn't make it a good deal.

whats your budget?

lenovo outlet just had a refurbished laptop for 259 for decent specs

Lenovo V570 (refurbished) $259
Intel Core i5-2450M (2.5GHz) Processor
15.6" WXGA (1366x768) LED-Backlit Display
6GB DDR3 Memory
500GB (5400RPM) Hard Drive
Intel Graphics Media Accelerator
DVD Recordable 8x Max Dual Layer
Webcam
Windows 7 Home Premium 64 Bit

so yea, i would say you could get a decent laptop for cheap. even new ones, can be had from newegg/staples/bestbuy for around 300-450 that can handle most of what you throw onto it

just get the cheapest laptop you can get from WalMart, usually $298 or something. Rip out the hard drive and replace it with a 120gb ssd. Sell the hard drive or use it as an external drive.

That's probably the best you can do for about $400

That Lenovo laptop for $260 was a steal

My only advice is to get something with a resolution higher than 1366x768. If you can manage that, your laptop experience will be much better.

C/S, though I can't think of any laptop with a higher resolution than 1366x768 in that price range. You'd usually have to spend at least $700-$800 to get something with a higher resolution. The OP might not have much of a choice in terms of resolution.

:scusthov: at crappy laptop displays.
