Above the fray.

On this episode of Under the Blacklight, thought leaders will share their perspective on the threats to the survival of Black history and realization of Black freedom. The panel will explore the question, "Is this the last Black History Month?” and show why it is necessary for us to fight to ensure it is not.
The panelists will revisit the crucial insights they raised as part of the 54 lesson MasterClass, “Black History, Black Freedom, and Black Love,” and discuss what lessons we can learn from Black history in this renewed period of racial backlash. In the face of anti-Critical Race Theory bills that assault curricula in classrooms and gag conversations about racism, the panel will address the urgent need to push back against the reconfiguration of right wing organizing. As Black history month closes, this is an ideal time for Under the Blacklight to bring this war on our collective struggle to light.
Featuring Kimberlé Crenshaw, Cornel West, Sherrilyn Ifill, and Jelani Cobb
