>Julianne Moore should win cuz this is her 5th nomination :dahell:
> David Oyelowo should win best actor :dahell:
- why are people that are not black super sensitive to black slave/ civil rights movies ?
Selma a good movie and David was good in it but got damn.

>Keaton should win cuz its a lifetime achievement award :dahell:

>Boyhood getting love for the process of production rather than the actual film :dahell:

Harvey Weinstein once hired WWII historians to emphasize the historical inaccuracies of Saving Private Ryan so it would lose steam against Shakespeare In Love, which (along with all the other manipulating Weinstein is famous for) caused Shakespeare In Love to win. Fox Searchlight promoted Little Miss Sunshine as 'the little indie movie that could' facing off against all the major studio movies, a campaign that cost millions and was fully paid for by Fox Searchlight's mother company, major studio Fox.

It's all political campaigning, and the two parties mentioned above are so heavy on it that almost every year there's that one Harvey Weinstein production and that one Fox Searchlight production getting tons of nominations (this year The Imitation Game by Weinstein, and Birdman/The Grand Budapest Hotel by Fox Searchlight).

Records show major studios often budget up to $10 million to campaign for a movie's award campaign. It is all politics.
