Is there a way I can have kids and have custody?

I wanna have kids someday. But I wanna be in their lives for sure. But with how divorces and the family court are, I don't think it's possible. At least in America.

The options:

Have one out of wedlock and try to win custody.....yea right

Surrogate....but this is just a option cause I wanna plant the seed myself
