Is there a reason that Trump's impeachment is taking precedence over a Stimulus bill?

Just curious. :jbhmm:

Stimulus checks: Why you won't get another payment for weeks -- if at all - CNNPolitics

(CNN)Congress is negotiating a fresh stimulus package that would include a third round of stimulus checks, but while there's broad agreement on the need for more direct payments, it will take weeks before any go out.

Comparing the Biden and GOP stimulus plans

The upcoming second impeachment trial of former President Donald Trump will push back any congressional action, and lawmakers are scheduled to be on recess over President's Day -- meaning there may not be progress on a deal until later in the month.
It takes at least several days to get the first payments processed after any legislation is signed, and has taken months to deliver payments to everyone who's eligible. Treasury is still trying to reach some people who should have gotten paid in the first round last year.

What to know about the timeline
President Joe Biden is urging lawmakers to include money for additional direct payments in a sweeping Covid relief bill. While the Senate passed a key procedural step early Friday that will allow Democrats to pass the legislation without the threat of a filibuster from Republicans -- lawmakers will only now start drafting the bill text.
A final vote could possibly come in late February, after the impeachment trial is complete in the Senate. Lawmakers hope to pass the legislation by March 14.

Because they recently passed the $900 billion dollar stimulus bill and aren’t worried about the next one until the money is closing to running out. People got hoodwinked into thinking that $1400 was coming ASAP when it was not going to be the case.

A lot of issues aren’t high on their priority list right even if they won’t admit it. Student loans is one of them.

Ratings.

Look at the ratings since Trump “left” office.

They’re gonna need to find excuses to talk about him for the next 4 years while they puppeteer Biden around.

Especially they can’t use his Twitter comments as content anymore. Fukkery and entertainment sells and unfortunately he’s a goldmine in the content department. He made all of those news outlets a lot of money because of his fukkery.

Biden and Harris are rather boring and I mean that in the nicest way possible.

:wow: Just so he doesn’t get office again. He’ll be 78 like Biden in 2024, so there’s a chance he might live long enough to run again.
Dont know why it never occurred to me they want to impeach him so bad so he doesn't run again and they'll do it because they dont want a 3rd political party. It's all making sense now:ohhh:

They know he would win too... His black vote turn out would increase exponentially, I was actually thinking about this recently.
