Because he insults people and throw temper tantrums, they do the same thing to be like him. So they can look "strong" and look like they are a "fighter" in hopes of Trump loving them because that is what people claim to love about Trump.

He's single handedly transformed the rules of engagement. It really wasn't like this before on the frequent basis. It started to become noticeable under Obama but it went crazy under Trump.
