The arts have become common. The original ones in the 80s weren't commercialized yet so that was the draw as regular people didn't move like this.
That and modern gen doesn't really want to put that work in plus VFX, wire work, computer graphics etc...

The talent is more spread out now. There were only many so many martial arts stars in the 80s and 90s and they got major studio push.

Why have a "martial arts superstar" when you can have a superstar do martial arts? You get better acting and sufficient martial arts. John wick with Keanu has 3 sequels. With Scott Adkins it's a single movie on Tubi....ust the facts
