The connection would be that there is fine print involved with Israel. Just like an asterisk on a contract directs you to look below at the fine print, the asterisk that is Israel reminds you that before 1948, Israel was actually Palestine, and there are still Palestinian people there that Israel cannot seem to get rid of.
I thought everybody knew the asterisk is a symbol of zionism and that everytime you use it a little palestinian kid gets his home taken....
