Back in the 90s, niqqas was flashing back to the 70s for nostalgia.

You could argue for the 80s becoming that nostalgia decade in the new millennium..

But in 2024, which 30 years past 1994, we still going back to the 90s as nostalgia.

Perhaps we should be up to the 2000s by now.. but almost every YT interview that pops up is about Pac and Big. All the legacy Hip Hop acts are from the 90s. The ones that ran the 2000s are gone except for Drake. Just Googled that his debut album was 2010, planned for 2008 originally..

Seems to me that everything after 2000 is not considered "old school" per se.

And I don't see it changing. Music and culture have gotten less and less inspiring, less soulful, since 2000: to the point where there is almost no classic material to even be nostalgic about.

The 2000s was the low point, the beginning of the end..not much great nostalgia there unless you think 50's rise and Laffy Taffy is something to reminisce over..

i was just saying a few days ago how crazy it is that people will go back to the 80’s and 90’s now. We were not trying to dress like they did 30 or 40 years ago in the 90’s though. So many timeless styles were created in the 80’s and 90’s. You’re going to look crazy to people if you try to dress like the 70’s but you’ll fit in with so,e 80’s and 90’s gear.

Of course your old ass is going back to the 90s. I’m sure younger kids are going back to the 2000s 😂😂😂

I think nostalgia is different for everybody.
