The same man wrote the green mile & the shawshank redemption. 2 Books that were adapted into award winning films.

He wrote the shining which was adapted into one of the GOAT atmospheric horror films, directed by one of the best directors in American film history.

He never took more than 2 years off between books, and if he did he usually came back with either a monster of a book or 2 or more in the same year :mindblown:

AND HE'S STILL GOING. He's got a new one coming out THIS YEAR after already dropping something IN FEBRUARY.

Is this man a fukking robot? :gucci:

And to think, his career almost didn't happen. When he wrote Carrie, he threw the script in the trash and his wife got it out and made him finish it. He has an incredibly gifted, imaginative mind. I was just watching Tommyknockers the other day.

IT, The Stand, That gunslinger series i never actually read.....the man puts in work.......for the genre of horror hes our generations goat.

For genre of law we have another goat. You know the name. He wrote the firm and the pelican brief and so many law classics.

For the Spy genre me myself I have the GOAT as Robert Ludlum. Man was a beast....but Honorable mention Jack Higgins. Sean Dillon is a badass.

The man is a horror genius and when he gets in his horror bag is down right amazing. The Dark Tower series, IT, and The Stand alone solidifies his shyt. Let's not even get into his short stories like "N". shyt is downright disturbing. This graphic depiction makes it even more :damn:

I've read the stand, pet cemetary, salems lot, the outsider. I tried to read the gunslinger twice and gave up on it....bored me to death. His books are better at being movies than they are at being books. He's great at what he does .... but he always finds a way to fukk the story up imo...
He' s just not for me.

Definitely wouldn’t call Stephen King a literary Genius lol

There are writers who put out just as many books in popular fiction/ James Patterson comes to mind ,though there are some ghost writing accusations in his case

King is far beyond Patterson lol that comparison is wildly disrespectful imo

Okay maybe that comparison was a little shady lol
But I was more so pointing to OP calling him a prolific writer
They’re both in that camp
