Is season 1 of Falling Skies worth buying?

So this Tuesday we got Breaking Bad and Curb dropping which are automatic cops. Falling Skies also drops and I'm curious to see if it's worth it. I'm into the whole alien invasion thing but I've been reading some bad reviews about it. Granted some of theses "reviewers" only saw 2 or 3 eps. So for anyone who saw at least 3/4 of the season, is it worth it?

Seen the whole season. I liked it a lot, and it got much better towards the end of the season, but id recommend renting, downloading, netflixing or whatever. To me its not a show id be watching over and over. But definitely worth following.

I only saw a couple of episodes but from what I saw it seemed like a crappy family drama with an alien invasion thrown in.
