I'm a fan of Silence of the Lambs and the NBC Hannibal show, but I haven't seen Ridley Scott's Hannibal or Ratner's Red Dragon (or Mann's Manhunter). Are any of those good? Or should I just keep watching Hannibal and forget the films?

I liked Hannibal and Red Dragon. I just wasn't a fan of Hannibal Rising.

Hannibal and Red Dragon are worth watching. Silence of the Lambs is Piff and over all of them. Man Hunter can't match the other films I just mentioned.

I remember seeing that in the theater in 2002, me and my two friends walked in in the last five minutes, wrong theater and saw the ending first....I think we were sneaking in too, we weren't 17 or didn't have ID, but it was dope as fukk, I though. Watching it now, I see some of the more traditional Hollywood shyt in it, and how 'Manhunter' was much more advanced cinematography wise but it's still a solid, well acted, well directed thriller. i wish we could have more scenes like the opening, the initial interaction between Will and Lecter.
it astounds me how so many ppl didnt watch Manhunter, mostly bc its older and was out BEFORE silence of the lambs. it basically was remade as Red Dragon with bigger budget and higher actors, but IMO its tremendously better and very close to Silence of the lambs. Michael Mann direct this ppl. dude was made to make that movie. they should have let him do Red Dragon. which was still very good, but Manhunter deserves a better audience

The Silence of the Lambs is the greatest movie of all time. Red Dragon is very good as well, shows how he goes to jail and very good performances by Ralph Fiennes and Philip Seymour Hoffman. The last minute was great, came outta nowhere. You'll see what I mean when you watch it.
Hannibal was good too.
