So I just rented Momento the other night based soley off of the hype and Nolan's name being attached to it.
Don't get me wrong, it was a very original, well thought out, well directed, and well acted movie. But I don't think I'd ever want to watch it again. I found it very tedious to watch because there were so many clues (and false clues) in the dialogue and in the visual telling of the story. It didn't allow me to get lost in the story. Also, the characters seemed to do and say just the right things to fit the unfolding of a very extricate plot. Their actions and words didn't always feel natural. Overally, this film just wasn't "entertaining" to me in the traditional sense. Do you think it's possible for a movie be technically amazing and fail in terms of entertainment?
What say you?
