Is Microsoft taking a gamble not developing a Series X pro to challenge PS5 Pro?

They’re already way behind the PS5 despite the PS5 being weaker than the Series X.

If Sony somehow brings out a powerful console that dwarves the Series X in performance, surely a console that’s already flailing its arms will be buried for good.

No, they already had their gamble with the Series S. I don't think you can have 3 active SKUs at the same time, so it makes sense not to have a pro. Plus, pro consoles might be somewhat niche because it's mainly hardcore fans who are buying them and not the people that just play F2P and sports games.

Also, for Microsoft I don't think a Pro console will move that many units if we're being honest. They'll just get their hardcore fans to invest in it, but their hardcore crowd is much smaller than Sony, so the gamble won't pay off this time imo.

Xbox is done. Dont waste your money. We ain't had an exclusive classic in over 5 years, and that was a racing game

Playstation+=game pass

If they not gonna release new games and innovate stop spending your money.

Let Microsoft turn into Sega. It's over

Seems late in the gen pipeline, but I don’t know if that limits them.

The pro models last gen lined up with big leaps in TV technology and I’m not sure if that we’re there yet this gen.

I dont think it would have really made a difference either way. People that want stronger Xbox’s just buy or already have PC’s.

The problem is microsoft tried to market the series x all around being the most powerful console ever above all else.

No. Microsoft needs to completely be focused on software. Nobody really cares what console is most powerful besides people arguing on the internet.

Pro console gonna be a hard sale.

Trying to convince people to pay $600 to go from 1440p to 4K probably ain’t gone work out that well.

Sony has enough stan’s that buy everything sony to sell a couple of them. But it won’t make much of an impact.

problem with these pro consoles is you need everyone to update their games. you can count on first party games, but there's not a lot of those this gen

They don't need a pro consoles because they already have that niche with PC with Steam/Microsoft Store etc...

The general public hasn't shown the need to purchase systems over 500 plus dollars.
