I’m not mad at it and I think they probably feel like they gotta put there biggest stars in the main spot for competition reasons right now but where do they go after this? :jbhmm:

What’s the next big money match? Part of me wants to see Moxley win part of me wants Jericho to hold the title for awhile just build more heat until people want him to lose it.

I can't imagine Jericho loses the title already. Jericho shouldn't drop that title until all heel fukkery has been exhausted, until there have been gimmick matches designed to neutralize Inner Circle interference, until it's been milked... mostly because the minute he isn't the champion, Jericho should probably fade into the background if not go away for some months and come back rejuvenated. His character works as the champion but as just a guy on Dynamite? Nah.

My money is on Hager causing the loss, which should really lead into Hager v. Moxley, which would clear Jon out of the main event scene for a while so you can start building more main eventers (definitely Jack Perry eventually).

I agree. He was brought in to build up that title and the company itself so he needs a long run with that belt. It fits right in with his character right now to get the cheapest wins he can just squeezing by until they’ve built that heat up AND built up somebody enough to take it off of him. I think Moxley is the one to do it and he don’t need much building up honestly but I don’t think it’s time yet.

I don't know if it's too soon or not but I wanna see Moxley win. I'm not trying to see :flabbynsick: Jericho wrestle championship matches that run way too long.

Moxley is US IWGP Champion in NJPW, Unless Minoru Suzuki gets the belt i dont think he wants those travel problems
The Champ has to be on AEW every night,
I like the idea of Jack Swagger and Moxley at the next PPV

i need Suzuki to get the US IWGP Belt for all the potential fukkery :mjlol:

It feels both simultaneously too soon while also feeling overdue. Jericho’s act is kinda starting to get old, so it’d be refreshing to see Moxley on top, but then what happens with Jericho if he loses the belt? He’s already run through most of the roster, outside of like PAC who does he feud with? Conversely if Moxley loses, who does he face next, and who steps up to face Jericho next? Nobody’s really been built up to get there.

Everything in AEW is happening too soon :yeshrug:

If Jericho wins, PAC is really the only guy that feels like he should get the next shot that Jericho hasn't already beat & even then they've 50/50'd PAC already that even he doesn't feel like he should get a shot. Moxley wins, Cody is the only top guy he hasn't beat yet but they did that goofy stip with Cody already.

Them rushing that MJeff turn & just dropping the Elite vs Inner Circle war has left them in a weird spot since they haven't built anybody new up well enough that they feel like PPV main event guys & they've ran through matches with their top guys already.

Moxley can feud with PAC for a little and then drop it to hangman reigns :jawalrus:

Which is weird because at the same time nothing has happened since early November. Until this week's show, there had been zero progression in the Cody/MFJ angle. It's been going on really since May and there have been 2 events this entire time: The actual heel turn in November, the yappapi strappage this week. The PPV is 3 weeks away and they're going to do 3 months of build in those 3 weeks.

The same goes for Moxley/Jericho, which started in October and just now Moxley is going through the members of Inner Circle. Nothing happened for 2 months. Then the swerve turn. Then nothing happened for a month. Then the eye thing. And now it's going to be the same thing for the last month of Moxley vs Inner Circle guys.

This Pac/Omega thing has been going on for what seems like 3 months of just the same thing every week. This Page is a drunk and not getting along with the rest of the Elite guys has been going on for months and also is the same thing every week. There was the Janela/Spears feud that went on for months of the same fukking angle each time and then they just abruptly dropped it lol. Same thing for the Nightmare Collective which seems to have been dropped as well.

In theory the long time between PPVs should allow them to really build feuds, but really they're just stretching a month's worth of program 3-4 months.

That's my biggest problems with AEW, stuff just kind of drifts off into something else with no real conclusion & the long breaks between PPVs forces them to do random stuff to kill time that they really shouldn't.

They started their 2 big groups headed for war (Cody even hinted at a War Games match in a promo) on the first episode of TV & about a month later they had pretty much moved on from that after the PPV outside a couple random tag matches. They had a month on TV & barely did anything with the MJeff/Cody stuff & then just did the turn everyone knew was coming when the whole point should have been dragging it out so long that maybe people just think it ain't happening.

The long breaks between PPVs without building to any specific shows ended up with them building Moxley vs Jericho for 2 months & then deciding they needed to do #1 contender matches just to end up where they already were. Which doesn't help when PAC is yelling about a Omega match for a month & then loses to Moxley in the middle of that, while Omega is off doing tag stuff with a guy they told you had left the group they were in together. So now PAC just goes back to yelling at Omega right after losing to Moxley which he apparently doesn't care about.

I get they want to listen to feedback & adjust when people tell them to but sometimes you have to bite the bullet on the story you're tryiny to tell & just ride it out. Dark Order closing a show beating down the Elite was a dumb decision, but the follow up being nothing more than the Bucks doing a run in on them makes it even worse.
