I read many sources where it says that eating white rice is actually bad for abs and things like this, but this article here says that a lot of athletes eat white rice.
The Reason Athletes Eat White Rice Instead of Brown
What are your thoughts on this? I'm far from an athlete. And I looked at the "Abs start in the kitchen" thread and no mention of white rice was made, so I'm just curious. Btw, unlike the folks in that thread, I am way too skinny so I look at something like white rice to help caloric intake. I don't want to keep eating it though if it's going to be detrimental to getting abs though (make me skinny with a belly)
I just finished eating a big bowl of white rice with cheese, mushrooms, black pepper, and garlic cloves. It tasted good, but I'm worried that it might not taste as good if I kept all of the ingredients the same, but replaced white rice with quinoa or something else.
*or would y'all consider the article that I linked as fake news?
