Is it official over for the early-mid 2010 acts? Migos, Rae Shremmurd, Fetty wap, Lil Uzi etc

They’re all madd “moments”…that’s the problem with most of these rappers now, it’s like Fad Rap. Fads always change, in rap it’s usually every 3-5 years or so (with some exceptions). These dudes have huge moments…then the fads/wave change and they gotta figure it out. Lil Baby seems to be going thru it now

I’ll put my money behind Young Thug.

I know he has stuff cooked up with either Wheezy or Metro.

Migos is dead unless Offset and Quavo can put their differences aside for Takeoff.

They don’t have to be friends but at least get some bread together.

I know they can make a another album together

This is around the time when only the top 2-5 have staying power YRN was 11 years ago. That’s like 30 years for a rapper. Hell LUV 1 was 9 years ago.

Seems like the only one going strong who emerged from that era is Travis Scott & Future

Future fixed the issue after Honest and blew into a different stratosphere…

Dude is slowly winding down though. The Kendrick/Drake fiasco kinda ruined his buzz for his solo project “Mixtape Pluto”.

Hopefully him and Metro have something cooking for this upcoming year.

It would be nice for him and Gucci to do a new song together.

All these nikkaz are still doing all the biggest festivals and dropping music sure there’s some artists bigger than others but none of these nikkaz are Mike Jones status.

There isn’t any artists from the 2020’s poppin more then them and alot of them burnt out quicker.

I dont think you know what "relevant" means. And theres a huge middle ground between Drake and Mike Jones.

Ok what does relevent mean to you sir? Are we talking album sales because if that’s the case if you ain’t Drake, Kendrick, Future, Tyler and Cole then you may have a case. All artist that came early to mid 2010s.

That’s alot more nikkaz then the 2000s which are pretty much only Wayne, Em and Ye.

It aint just album sales. Its significance and impact on the culture as a whole. Tyga and Meek arent relevant. Could argue Big Sean and YG too. They there, but theyre not relevant.

Ok that 5 I listed have impacted the culture. Wayne and Kanye impacted a lot of those artists. It’s always been like that there’s many artists that come out in a decade but you can count on one hand the ones that have had impact on the culture.
