Is it obvious that Arum is building up López

not to say he’s not a great talent but it seems like the plan is to hype him so that they can artificially create a big money fight for Loma

Just so happens both fighters will leave the ring 15-1 if everything goes as planned

your stars are but dust on my shoes
Arum doing his job?:ohhh:

Nah but if the question is whether or not Lopez is any good... that's a better question/discussion. Look at the top 10 P4P and look at their age... Teofimo is significantly younger than everyone other than Inoue, who's 26.

At 22, Teofimo is still developing his skill set. He's got just enough imo to make the Loma fight intriguing, although I think he's still too inexperienced to win against Loma. He's got the speed and pop to make shyt hot for Loma though.

I would bet Arum probably prefers them not to fight, but Lopez and crew have forced his hand. Just unlike Arum to feed a potential mega star to another top p4p guy, with the potential for the young champ to be ruined OR his established star to drastically fall. Could really ruin the tank showdown. Who knows what's going on, but one thing is for sure: these two do not like each other and it's going to be one really nasty fight.

Nah. Lopez losing to Loma doesn't hurt him. It's really a no lose for TR because everyone expects Loma to work him.

Figured ppl would wait until Lopez lost and spin it as Arum ruining him
Didn't see the preemptive Lopez ain't really that good angle :ehh:
Lopez and his pops wrote checks that now have to be cashed :yeshrug:. I'm sure Arum would rather marinate that belt like most promoters do now days but the Lopez's really want this fight.

Arum benefits regrdless who wins

Even a Lomo loss won't have any bearing on the Lomo Brand

Because Lomo has been giving the infamous FRANCHISE TITLE now and that basically guarantees him big bouts for the rest of his career

So Arum will still eat regardless ...

The only issue is now is the venue

The fight has already been greenlight to occur

And I was told by a top rank rep that they are seeking SAUDI ARABIA as a venue because of the huge capital available and resources available to them courtesy of the Saudi government

Matchroom Boxing & Dazn has made the boxing world aware that a good source for.sponsorhip and promotional dollars are to be found in Saudi Arabia...

Which is why Arum and Top Rank are following suit..

Cause Vegas and America as a whole was hell for Top Rank.. Matchroom and Main Event promotions in 2019

Duh, they need a real star

they got boxers with real star potential

Bob is just to CHEAP to develop them...

Frank Warren made an offer to Bob to buy Tyson Fury out of his promotional deal since Tyson was really looking to create a buzz in the american market and was kinda displeased with his situation with Warren...

but Bob didn't wanna pay the price Frank suggested..so now he just copromotes Tyson with additional support from ESPN cause he ain't got the bank like he had in the old days when he had De La Hoya and Mayweather

same with Crawford......Bomac the trainer for Crawford says all the time ARUM has yet to break out that big bag to really give Crawford the look he needs as the superstar boxer status he is worthy of

all these empty promises with these contract extensions have gotten him no where

same with SHAKUR STEVENSON that dude has a magnetic personality he is very entertaining...he could market anything....yet he is another one whose career is being stifled by ARUM

Exactly, this is the perfect time for them to make this, Lopez already generated buzz but he said he can't make 135 for long and if Loma goes anywhere from here it's gonna be back to 130, not 140, he is a small enough 135er and I think he realizes that this is the division where he tops out.
If Lopez wins they have a big star, if Loma wins then it's good learning money for Lopez.
