For the past week, I've been dreading this day. I just can't believe my 20s are almost over. I look back and I haven't accomplished much or any of the things I would have hoped to by now. Just been laying in bed thinking where the fukk did the time go?

When I turned 25 I woke up depressed :mjcry: and I'll prolly feel the same when I hit 30, but as long as you wild out or celebrate with friends and loved ones you'll be good :cigarnas:

Not 1 of you muffukkaz said EDIT: @10bandz did, salute!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY OP

The others are right: others could have it worse.

But for many people the factual knowledge that others have it worse, doesn't help put things in perspective much.

If you feel bad, you feel bad.

So let's not compare in your case.

Purpose.

That is the only way this down feeling turns around.

A sense of purpose changes everything.

Your porblem may be: I have no clue what I want to do with my life.

Welcome to the club.

But it is ultimately your life and you know you best: there is SOMETHING you'd love doing if you could.

Figure that out and you found a purpose.

Then you need a strategy to meet your goal. I suggest you google: 'Procrastination monkey' and read the few articles on it. Thank me later.

Feel free to DM if you have any questions. Find your purpose and next birthday you'll feel better.

Btw: you're part of the majority of people who during their 20s had time fly by and wake up (almost) 30. Your age means nothing these days, what you have to offer means everything so don't worry.

I don't like my birthday and I don't celebrate the shyt and I often forget my age

The feeling you are feeling is normal...

You set unreasonably high expectations for yourself according to your age and ability and a year passes and you haven't achieved it...

Aged based achievement is an illusion...

Success is exponential...it doesn't go in stages...

The idea that you step 1 and step 2 and step 3 and so on and you'll reach some pinnacle of success is bullshyt..

But due to how we structure our lives with you know, grade based schooling and the typical imposed age-mind development by the state...due to public education

Once you become an adult...you think you are supposed to have "progress" like you did when you are a kid...

When that structured progress is dead and you set goals for yourself that you think you can do...which you most likely can't within a year or maybe even 2 years...you feel like shyt...

Once you become an adult especially a man, since a man's life is much more freeing and unrestricted and age for us is really just a number depending on how you live your life...you gonna have to accept that you will not "progress" in your life yearly....

That yearly "progression" is gone and things that you want is gonna take a lot of time, decades even....

I'm in my early 20's and I don't even acknowledge my b day anymore.

My friends from grade school don't even know when my birthday is because I never mentioned it :manny:

no need to feel depressed on your birthday though cause nikkas is dropping like flies out here so get up and celebrate whether it's by yourself or the people you care about and that care about you

Nope but it's understandable. I don't get the whole just be happy you woke up mentality, that's not good enough for people that want more out of life than just being able to breathe.

There's nothing wrong with feeling down about life sometimes but try not to be down constantly and instead gain more motivation to improve your life.

If you are fat have no friends and or family yes it is completely normal.

Probably a good time to start training Brazilian Jiu Jitsu since flab is linked to low testosterone which is linked to depression
