I'm out the loop as far as what's going on in the dating world but growing up the dark skinned women generally were attracted to light skinned dudes or even white dudes. Any time a woman dates a man they have a vision of what their child would look like if they were to ever have kids with the man. Most of these women want light skinned kids imo. There definitely are exceptions to this but this is based on what I've seen.
