I have no problem with interracial relationships and kudos to whoever people choose to love and be with..

but it seems that whenever any prominent black male or any black male in general dates a woman not black he gets backlash..

Exhibit A: Omari Hardwick..

black women raised this nikka from the ashes to holy grail once Power began buzzing but as soon as pics of his wife surfaced, the backlash was crazy.

i aint seen so much hate and heel turn like that day.. it was like he personally offended black women the way they were calling him weak and all that..

Exhibit B: Shaderoom posted a pic of Oshea Jackson on their IG page with a white women who they said was his gf and the comments section was fool of hate..

i was confused like :dwillhuh:why is this still an issue in 2015 ?

is there an unwritten rule that black men MUST date black women cause everytime one doesn't he's clowned..

but black women date a white man and its ''YASSSS GURL'' :mjpls:

im just saying....

at this point in life, people gotta get over that fake militant phase and stop being mad at what the next man is doing

I don't know if it was real or not, but Ice Cube Jr said he's not with that girl anymore.

Either way, let people live. A black man with a non-black woman isn't the end of the world.

I feel like black women should not give their energy to men who don't want us. Just let it go and focus on the ones that do. So yeah the Omari hate was lame. Just let that dude cook. On the other hand though why should black women support him, build his career up and shyt and be treated like second best or in most cases with black men like invisible. It just doesn't make sense to support someone who doesn't give a damn about you.

Now O'shea situation, his girlfriend was disrespectful to dark skinned women. You don't have to desire us but please stop with the disrespect. We are also so human beings. And dark skinned women are bullied more than anybody. Its not right for us to get constantly treated as less than when we're not.

Ultimately its a slap in the face. Black men and women are supposed to be on the same team looking out for each other but its one sided. Black women will blindly support any black man because we are down for our race but some black men treat us as if we are inferior. It feels like betrayal to some women.

It will always be an issue because black women get shytted on by the world and seen as less than just for existing and our men who you would think would protect us partake in it, it hurts some women. Try to see their point of view please. It hurts some women to know they are not valuable to their own men.

The yasss girl get yo white man black women are showing their insecurities I guess. They want to see and want black men to see that black women have value.

As I get older, I care less and less about who anyone dates. My only thing is don't bash anyone because you have a preference. Do guys like Terrence Howard, tiger woods, taye diggs, Michael b Jordan rub me the wrong way? Hell yes. Because they always have slick shyt to say. Does it burn a little when I see a handsome successful brother with a white woman on his arm? A little yeah.
But that's not the norm. Most of these interracial couples that you see on the daily are struggling and trying to make it work like anyone else. It's not perfect so I think that it's best to not try and imagine what someone else's relationship is like and just focus on yourself

Read my first sentence. I said people in terms of men and women. And not putting others down because you have a preference goes for men and women.
I answered the question honestly for me when I said that it burns a little when I see a successful black man with a white woman.
And as far as Eve goes, a girl from philly that's kissed plenty frogs (Stevie j). I say do you, for sure. But at the same time I've never heard eve down black men because she married a white man.
My problem comes from people (men/women) who down others because they have a preference

How was he a frog when she was a stripper and he was a world class producer for Puff Daddy's hitmen at the time of their pairing? Please don't let "womanism" you've recently latched on to erase history and power dynamics in relationships.

Here's the problem: There are more black women than black men. Black men are shown in a positive light athletically, and in entertainment...even when we're shown in a negative light, it still stirs primordial urges within women.
Men do the fukking. Women get fukked. If you're a rarity and numbers aren't on your side, you will get chose more.
Some people still want to assimilate. Being able to pull partners of different races makes sick folks feel like they're validated.
White men had unrestricted access to black women for hundreds of years...kept them in placage AT BEST.
The reverse never occurred in the past because we were murdered for looking at them.
Access is open, they're not getting what they think is their fair slice of the white pie. It's a dumb argument and mentality.

Date whoever you want just don't bash your own. Oh and it's not just black women who do that crap. When Robert pattinson first started to date fka twigs (half black girl) white chicks attacked her on Instagram and Twitter calling her a monkey and saying stuff like "why would you get with a black girl?". Personally I don't know any black women that gets upset at interracial dating (some may have a problem with it though). People should have a choice to date whoever they want without backlash but do not slander your own race (women in your own race) in the process. It's really that simple.

I don't understand the whole "we didn't have access to white women but white men have always had access to black women " argument. Like black women had a choice when it came to being raped and intimidated into sleeping with white men. All that " I'm getting back at white men by sleeping with white women" is a weak excuse. Most black women want to be with a black man. If the opposite was true then there would be way more bw/wm marriages. I don't think that black women can do anything about being "desired" by others not even men of our own race. So its best that we just live our lives.

didn't even say anything about rape...It's more about self preservation. The dominant male always wins out. Women are instinctual creatures. Everything wasn't involuntary.
