I looked at my kid's ears, but only to compare how she'll turn out relative to her mom's complexion (brownskin w/ yellow undertone) vs my complexion (brownskin w/ red undertone)

We look at her and comment all the time on her features and who she gets them from...genetics is an interesting thing

Hello ladies. I am new to the group and I couldn’t ask this question with the other group that I’m in on here because I don’t think they will understand where I am coming from. Now my DD is one week and 3 days old. She is extremely light and of course I understand that she will be that color for a while. I wanted to know if she has any chances of becoming darker at least like my complexion. Her dad is extremely dark and I am like a caramel complexion. I have added a photo of all of us. The tip of her ears aren’t extremely dark but it’s not the same color that she is now either, thy are brown. I have seen babies born so chocolate and then I’ve seen some that are light bright and become darker later on.

I never heard of that before, I’ve been in the south to the west coast around old and young black people and I never heard to check the ears and hands to see what the babies real color is going to be.. that’s crazy af .. if you got a new born baby that shyt shouldn’t matter , just be glad your baby is healthy and try to help them grow up to love their black features no matter how dark or light ..
