Early Morris Chestnut in black films was a combination of Bad Acting and suspect writing at least in certain films. but i've also seen ole boy in non black films and the acting was still subpar, but so was the writing or was that his bad acting? or was it the bad writing?

I need someone to find me a reverse scenario. a Great actor with a terrible script. Can that script be redeemed by a Great actor/actress?

A great actor can definitely do great work with a meh script or a bad script. I've got to think of some examples but I know it's happened several times in history
