With AI basically being able to steal people's identities and copy their works.

This kind of feel like a golden age for attorneys who specialize in copyright or fair use. Like if you're part of Bryce Dallas Howard's team and see that someone has made an extremely realistic deepfake of your boss getting dikked down and it's going viral, you can't just go over there and tell her that's what's happening. You'll get fired. Instead you call her legal team and just like that the copyright and defamation lawyers spring into action to get the video taken down and contact law enforcement target the people who made it.

Imagine you're an independent game developer. Someone has made a game with art assets that look way too similar to yours and they used A.I. you can sue to get the record of the training data they used for their model. Again, a copyright lawyer comes in to get answers.

:lupe:

In almost every situation, lawyers eat. Even if you lose, you know you earned your fee because you worked hard to put up a strong case. :jbhmm:

It doesn’t matter if it’s a “good idea” or not…

People do bad idea things and become successful…

Do you like law? copyright law? Contacts in the industry…Do you have to go into large debt to become a lawyer?

Who knows if it’s bad or good? You have to find out through experience.
