If you search for it you have to search “Ice Cube” along with it to yield a result, otherwise you get a movie by the same title?

Anyone seen the movie

Anyway, in case the context of this post evades, this song is embarrassing and in the vain of an ICP record

One might wonder if this was forced upon him for the anti-Semitic remarks and/or the record label office stunt

The movie came out first...Lench Mob jacked the title.

elaborate because I'm not understanding. They were refering to themselves as Guerillas as in guerilla warfare... But i always took it as a play on the word gorilla as if thats how white people viewd Blacks...thats why the song has those references. As if to say you look at us as gorillas while we coming at you like guerillas.

You got to relisten to it with adult ears

I use to like this song

But now I can’t help but notice that the song sounds like it was ghostwritten by a second rate Juggalo tribute act

:comeon:

'You And Your Heroes' is in my playlist. I do an Ice Cube binge atleast twice a year. And I already gave u the breakdown...I'm not repeating myself.

And you spelled it wrong thats why the movie shows up instead of Da Lench Mobs song. Spell it the right way and it pops right up.

I think I get where you're going now. The delivery, and all the yelling. I'm fairly sure it's because them nikkas couldn't rap likenthat. Those are probably Cube's nikkas he got a few checks, along with publishing for him because I assume he wrote a chunk of that shyt. I actually like it. Just sounded raw. Beat was great, too. I could listen for the Cube verses if nothing else.

I don't think you understand the context of the song. It's social commentary for that particular time and if you are offended by it or feel offended by it for others then you clearly missed the moral of the song.

Song sucked.

It was from the period that ruined cube's real top flight drawing years and he may look at it as an embarrassment..
Not sure why he started yelling beside probably not writing himself in that era.
Including you can tell rather easily, if he may not have penned records.

Also, not sure what happened to the original ice cube and the yelling cube at all.

Just now, the yelling cube sucked and eventually led to why cube was not cube no more.

Leading to his decline in total draw in rap.
Along with endorsing the prison industrial economy and wrongly showcasing Mecca envy. When he is the first gangsta rap west coast Mecca endorsed rapper.

This whole period made no sense and signaled the end and ultimate decline in draw.
For the first incarnation of cube's top flight drawing years, in music.

Cube went to film cause he was culturally done in rap as a dead draw.
Later his draw was revisioned.

When the game endorsed even worse rap sellouts.
Most of the legacy drawing artist in rap were or are dead draws from culturally selling out. Plus producing the discovery zone with labels/art houses to arrive where we are now.

Which is the wackest culturally devoid time in history.

Elaborate because Predator dropped around the same time...Predator was the shyt. His biggest hit single (Today Was A Good Day)came from Predator. Are you saying the Check Yo Self video was endorsing the prison industrial economy?

I always felt this was when that Zulu Nation affiliation was really kicking in and he was on his Nation Of Islam shyt heavy. You really wasnt feeling Cube screaming over We Will Rock You? This was the shyt.

"they said I can sing like a Jay bird.....But nikka dont say the J word"

Predator signaled the end of his chapter, breh.

That whole period is the decline of cube's draw period.
He suffered mad blow back for being too commercial.
At the time I had no problem with the red hot chili peppers thing.
yet, over the course of the album.
Especially, the das efx remix is what hurt him.
when the blowback from das efx
Then couple it with him and the next Westside connection Mecca envy shyt that was unwarranted. cube was done.

I'm usually with you, but I have to disagree. Cube was "past his prime", but he was still very dope on this and The Predator. I think the proper context is to look at it like Group Home. Guru and Jeru rapping circles around them cats would not have helped their case. He was looking out for the homies. They aren't on his level, so he adapted. Same with Mack 10's 1st album. He tailored the beats (probably rhymes too for DLM) for their skill set.
