you've got 3 GOTG (game of the generation) caliber games coming out within three months of eachother: TLOU 2, FF7 Remake and Cyberpunk 2077. not to mention Vampire The Masquerade Bloodlines 2 is slated for early 2020 as well

I can't think of any other time when perhaps generation-defining games were all coming out so close to eachother, one after another

I would say October-December 2004 has it beat. You had Halo 2, Half Life 2, San Andreas, MGS3 and WoW.

Winter 2001 is up there with FF10 and MGS 2 and some others.

Recently Q1 2017 is up there as well.

But no, we havent seen a Q1 2020 for at least two whole generations. Don't forget Nioh 2 and Dying light 2 are also coming Q1. There's more than that too but I can't remember off hand. Will be a great way to close out the gen

2 new consoles dropping next year with hard games dropping when the come out. So it's gonna be an insane year. if BOTW 2 and Bayo 3 somehow make it to next year along with Halo Infinite. I would say next year is gonna be untouchable.

Are we talking about 4 month time frame or year now? Also there is a huge difference between generation defining and good game.
